Arrive at Sheikh ul-Alam International Airport, Srinagar. Transfer to hotel or Dal Lake houseboat. Afternoon: hour-long Shikara ride on Dal Lake to visit floating vegetable gardens, handicraft shops, and lotus flower fields. Sunset view from the lake. Overnight in Srinagar.
Visit the famous Mughal Gardens: Shalimar Bagh (Abode of Love), Nishat Bagh (Garden of Pleasure), and Cheshma Shahi. Then visit the ancient Shankaracharya Temple perched on Gopadari Hill with panoramic views of Srinagar Valley. Evening at Lal Chowk market for Kashmiri shawls, saffron, and dry fruits.
Drive to Gulmarg (56km, 2600m altitude). Board the Gulmarg Gondola — Asia's highest and longest cable car — to Phase I (3,088m) or Phase II (3,980m). Enjoy sledging, snowboarding, and skiing on the slopes. Visit Strawberry Valley and Golf Course (Asia's highest). Return to Srinagar by evening.
Drive to Pahalgam (Valley of Shepherds) through apple orchards and pine forests. Visit Betaab Valley (Bollywood film location), Chandanwari (starting point of Amarnath Yatra), and the picturesque Aru Valley. Horse riding available. Overnight at Pahalgam resort surrounded by snow-capped peaks.
Drive through Srinagar to Sonamarg (Meadow of Gold at 2,740m). Ponies available for an excursion to the stunning Thajiwas Glacier. Snowball fights, glacier walks, and spectacular mountain panoramas. Return to Srinagar for overnight stay.
Morning: visit the stunning Indira Gandhi Memorial Tulip Garden (Asia's largest tulip garden with 1.5 million tulips in 60+ varieties, open March–April). Visit local Kashmiri carpet and handicraft showrooms. Shopping for pashmina shawls, saffron, walnut wood carvings, and papier-mâché items. Evening Shikara ride farewell.
